Meet Ciara Dargan
Founder, Registered Nurse Prescriber & Aesthetic Practitioner at Radiance Medical Aesthetics
When choosing an aesthetic practitioner, experience, qualifications, and patient safety matter. At Radiance Medical Aesthetics, every treatment is led by Ciara Dargan, a Registered Nurse Prescriber with over 10 years of clinical nursing experience, combining advanced medical expertise with a passion for natural aesthetic results and long-term skin health.
My philosophy has always been simple. Aesthetic medicine is not about changing who you are. It's about enhancing your natural features, improving skin health, and helping you feel confident through safe, evidence-based treatments.
A Career Built on Clinical Excellence
Ciara's journey into aesthetics began long before opening Radiance Medical Aesthetics in Clonmel. After becoming a mother at a young age, she pursued Beauty Therapy in Kilkenny, where she developed an early fascination with skincare, facial treatments, and skin health. Determined to build a long-term career in healthcare, she later returned to education to study nursing, earning a Bachelor of Science in Nursing.
Over the past decade, Ciara has worked across a wide range of specialist healthcare settings in both Ireland and Australia, gaining invaluable experience in:
- Emergency Medicine (A&E)
- Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery
- Neonatal Care
- General Practice
- Correctional Healthcare
- Acute Clinical Nursing
From Nursing to Advanced Medical Aesthetics
While working on a Plastic Surgery ward in Australia, Ciara discovered a passion for skin healing, facial anatomy, tissue repair and aesthetic medicine. Working alongside plastic surgery teams strengthened her understanding of skin regeneration, scar management, facial structure, wound healing, tissue preservation, and medical dermatology principles.
These experiences inspired her to specialise in non-surgical aesthetic treatments and advanced skin rejuvenation. After returning to Ireland, Ciara planned to transition into dermatology and aesthetics. However, when the COVID-19 pandemic arrived, she returned to the frontline, working in Emergency Medicine during one of the most challenging periods in modern healthcare.
Following the birth of her daughter, Ciara made the decision to dedicate her career to helping people improve not only how they look, but how they feel about themselves through safe, medically led aesthetic treatments.

A Medical-Led Approach to Aesthetic Treatments
Unlike many cosmetic clinics, Radiance Medical Aesthetics is built upon genuine medical expertise rather than cosmetic experience alone. Every consultation begins with a comprehensive assessment of medical history, facial anatomy, skin condition, lifestyle factors, treatment goals, and long-term skin health.
Rather than chasing trends, Ciara develops personalised treatment plans designed to achieve subtle, balanced and natural-looking results while preserving facial harmony. Her philosophy focuses on:
- Healthy skin before cosmetic enhancement
- Conservative, natural aesthetic results
- Prevention over correction
- Evidence-based treatment plans
- Honest clinical advice
- Patient education
